5.5 Million Pink Slips and Counting

November 19, 2009

WOW!!  The Pink Slip campaign is  getting more and more attention.  This is fantastic.   You can still join in,  just read below and then follow the link to the Pink Slip campaign.

You know what makes this very effective–2 things

  • the vast number of pink slips being sent on a continuous basis
  • each pink slip is personalized with the person’s name sending them

This is hard to ignore, every pink slip that a Representative or Senator receives is personalized with your name!

The pink slips send a message to Congress that they actually work for the taxpayers and there are four unacceptable government plans:

  • government health care
  • cap and trade
  • hate crimes
  • uncontrolled spending

Members of Congress are taking notice.  Rep. Tom Price, R-GA tells us that it is making an impact:

“They’re talking about it, but they’re only talking about it behind closed doors and in the elevators as they go up and down and in very whispered tones.  Because, what you hear are people saying, How many of those did you get or how many people came to your office today? And what are you going to do and how are you going to vote on this?'”

DeMint remarked in an interview this week that some of the bills now in Congress would have been law by now if wasn’t for the “pink slips” arriving daily!

Watch the video of a press conference held this week with Michele Bachmann and Trent Franks.

For all those that have sent in your pink slips–thank you!

If you have not joined in, you still can.  Follow this link over to World Net Daily and send a pink slip to every member of Congress–535 in all—435 Congressmen/women and 100 Senators.

Put Congress On Notice – 2nd Pink Slip Idea

After posting the FedEx Pink Slip idea, I found more Pink Slip ideas out there.  The FedEx is a good one, since it goes to all 535 Congress members and is just a click of the button, although there is a price for that.

If you still want to participate without spending a lot, check out the links below to download a PDF file that you can mail (USPS or email) to your elected officials.

MoveOutCongress.Com, has “moving materials” that you can use to alert your Congressman or Senator they will be moving soon:

  • Pink Slip
  • Reminder with moving tips
  • Handouts that you can get the word out

ResistNet.Com has pink slip postcards that you can download to print on cardstock.   The postcard will get to your Congressman/Senator faster than letters.  Letters have additional processing time due to the anthrax issue.

We need to keep the pressure on! Forward to your friends and family.  This message will be heard loud and clear if there are thousands/millions of pink slips arrive at the capital.

Put Congress On Notice

PinkDoctwo

An innovative new campaign to alert Congress of widespread grass-roots opposition to massive new spending plans as well as other objectionable and intrusive legislation is already responsible – in the first 24 hours – for the distribution of 500,000 “pink slip” notices to members of the House and Senate.

Check out this website that World Net Daily (WND) has put together a campaign that you can send 535 Pink Slips to all members of Congress via FedEx for only $29.95.

Here is the link if you want to read about the campaign. Within 48 hours 600,000 pink slips have been sent.  The goal is for 5 million.
