Is Arizona a Hostage State?

June 21, 2010

Please listen to this video as Jon Kyl,  US Senator from Arizona, explains his conversation with the President, that the border will not be secured until  comprehensive immigration reform is passed.

Listen closely at 3:21

The problem is, if we secure the border, then you all won’t have any reason to support comprehensive immigration reform.  In other words, they are holding it hostage.

Does that sound like Arizona and the rest of the nation is being held hostage and the ransom is amnesty?

Are other states hostages as well?

Well, the other night, when I watched the President speak from the Oval Office, I heard a political speech about cap n trade, not a speech about a tragedy and crisis in the gulf.  Is that why the Coast Guard demanded the boats with skimmers to stop because there weren’t enough life jackets on board?  Is the gulf being held hostage also? until cap n trade is passed?

What is next?  A hostage situation coming soon to your area of the country.

Evil Personified

<Evil laugh>  Yes, I can not wait to put the hammer down on the American people.  <Evil Laugh>

Water for Health Care?

March 19, 2010

I had the Glenn Beck TV program on while I was busy in the kitchen this afternoon, when this segment caught my attention and I had to stop and take notes.  If this is true and it certainly sounds like it…this is downright scary!!!

First some background:  You may or may not know about the situation in the San Joaquin Valley (SJV).  The SJV is a huge flat valley in central California that produces (or used to) a large amount of our produce.  The water has basically been shut off to the farmers.   There have been billions of water diverted from the farms because of a very small bait fish–the delta smelt.   Now who is responsible for this…why it is the Department of the Interior.

There has been a very long struggle to get the water turned back on and get these farmers back in production.  This area has between 20-40% unemployment.  The water is still not back on.

Here are my notes from the segment.  Glenn interviewed Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA) from district 21, which is in the SJV.   The thinking is that Rep. Jim Costa (D-CA) district 20 and Rep Dennis Cardoza (D-CA) district 18 were bought off with water to their districts for their votes on health care.

Now let that just sink in for a moment.

If you vote for the federal takeover of the health care industry (because that is where it is going) and we will turn on the water.

But wait there is more…

Another shocking thing that Nunes stated:

We only get 25% of our water for 100% of health care.

Nunes then went on to compare the current administration to Saddam Hussein who starved his people of water and another delightful person Robert Mugabe who is currently starving his people.

Let me give you some background on Mugabe… Robert Mugabe is President of Zimbabwe, who compares himself to Hilter and basically stole the farmland in his country which was once the “bread basket” of southern Africa and major agricultural exporter.  Now…Zimbabwe depends on food programs and support from outside to feed its people to avoid starvation.  okay back to the program…

Now compare this to a year with 129% of rainfall and the government deems only 25% can be given to the farmers.  Unbelievable!!

Beck asked Nunes about the situation and if he was really saying what he was saying.  Yes!  was the answer.  Don’t you think the timing is suspect, it is announced just before the vote and not when it was originally scheduled to be announced.

Nunes went on to say that Pelosi and team were elected long before he was born and they want to create a new America.  If you look at the SJV, we are what happens when you create a socialist utopia they want.

What are the ramifications?  Nunes went on to say, that these characters go back to the 1960’s radical times started in San Francisco, they created a machine that gradually put environmental regulations in place.   When you look back at the 1980’s, the logging industry was turned off.  Then they started turning off the water slowly over the years until they just shut it off this last year.

Folks this is coming to the rest of America. This used to be a valley of hard working farmers and farm workers.  That is now between 20% and 40% unemployment and they can’t even feed their families.

They think from here in Washington they can control the masses.

Health Care Update

March 19, 2010

The term that I keep hearing on the news and radio is “demon pass.”  Is that what you hear?  Every time this term is used, that is exactly what I hear.

Yeah, I know, they are really saying “deem and pass”.

The  irony is too much and sickening:

  • This is just evil and then to hear it called “demon pass.”  I have to agree on the term as I hear it.
  • Slaughter rule:  put forth by House Rules Committee Chair Rep. Slaughter (D-N.Y.)   Now isn’t that rule named appropriately.  This is the same person that “topped” in the Blair House summit about a lady that had to wear her dead sister’s dentures…not kidding.
  • The vote seems to be scheduled for Sunday, as if that is not bad enough, but during Lent…for a bill that contains  government paid abortion.
  • Read on Hotair on how a similar tactic by the Republicans was opposed in 2005. I bet you could guess who before you go take a peek.

Now here is Senator Tom Coburn warning members of the House of Representatives that Republican senators will watch carefully for any deals the White House or Democratic leaders make with members in exchange for their votes.

Now I like that they are looking to protect the American people from corruption.  But why is this news and why is it not always done?

Updated:  Forgot to add about the TEA Party is asking for us to surge to Washington or your Congressman’s local offices.  Put the pressure on.

Changing How Washington Works

You may have heard of this chart by Phil Kerpen, Americans for Prosperity, which Glenn Beck talked about on Tuesday.   I have the pdf  linked below, but if you go to the Americans for Prosperity site, you will have an interactive page with additional information about the different boxes.

This is incredible when you look at the big picture and what is being done…one piece at a time.    How soon before we fail to recognize our country?

What is Next?

February 24, 2010

Are you wondering what is next for health care?

The Hill is reporting that there are 15-20 House Democrats withholding support of the Senate version because of the abortion language.

The Hill also reports about the order to pass this legislation:

The White House currently wants the House to pass the Senate’s original health care bill then for both chambers to pass its fixes, with the Senate using the budget reconciliation process.

The reconciliation process (also known as nuclear option) means to pass the Senate with a minimum of 51 votes not 60 as usual. The reconciliation purpose is to alter the federal budget, not write new policy.  You can read about the reconciliation process on The Hill and a potential issue with it–VP Biden can push it through:

The parliamentarian can rule any provisions as “incidental” and remove it from the bill if he or she judges that its purpose is to write new policy not simply to alter the federal budget. “The ‘incidental’ test is a very difficult test because it is very subjective,” Dove said. “You are trying to judge peoples’ motives,” he said. The Senate can overturn the parliamentarian’s rulings with 60 votes — but if Democrats had 60 votes, they would not be using reconciliation. Dove also noted that Vice President Joe Biden, in his Constitutional role as President of the Senate, is the ultimate authority and could overrule the parliamentarian. He added, though, that “no vice president, frankly, since Nelson Rockefeller in 1975, has exercised that right.

You may have heard that Obama has posted his plan on the White House site for you to read.  You can read it here.

You can read an analysis of his plan in this article—The Heritage Foundation Morning Bell:  Can They Make Obamacare Worse?  Yes They Can! Let’s see, here is a quick summary:  Cornhusker Kickback for all, another wealth/health redistribution;  increased Medicare payroll tax which will now include investment income; and price controls.

Here is another analysis of the recently released Obama plan at The Heritage Foundation:  The President’s Health Summit Proposal:  Rhetoric vs Reality.

The President’s health care proposal contains little that is new.  The well tested rhetoric used by the White House to sugarcoat the health policy outline should not fool ordinary Americans. This proposal is even more expensive than the Senate bill upon which it is apparently based: $950 billion over ten years rather than $871 billion.

Oh and you have to trust Obama on his plan’s cost, because it has not been scored by the CBO (Congressional Budget Office). There is just not enough time, nor details to do it.  Kinda tricky, you think.

Here is the latest Pelosi quote when asked about the Congressional procedures to pass legislation:

“Why don’t we just settle on the substance first and we take this one at a time,” she told reporters. “I’m not into procedure right now. I’m into substance.”

My translation:  The rules don’t matter, just do what I want to do!

Call your Representative and Senator AGAIN.

Tell them NO!

But wait, there is more!  Once the nuclear option/reconciliation is used to radially transform our country with health care, there is more waiting in the wings.  Follow this link and watch this clip of Senator Sanders explain reconciliation and the proposed landslide of legislation that will change our country.

Dems Attack Reporter

January 14, 2010

Is this what you do when you do not want to answer a question?

After leaving her DC lobbyist fundraiser, Coakley fails to answer a question whether she stands by her comments that terrorists are not in Afghanistan. Coakley simply responds by asking if there are any more questions. When McCormack tries to follow Coakley and ask again, he is attacked by a member of Coakley’s entourage and thrown to the ground as Coakley looks on.  After he gets up, McCormack was accosted again, and not allowed to pass.

Pay close attention at 46-52 seconds as the guy with glasses behind Coakley (identified as Michael Meehan) as he surveys the sidewalk where they will be walking and makes a quiet comment to another Coakley supporter, and then moves to stand behind McCormack.

It even gets better:  Read the Boston Herald article as Coakley suggests the “Brown Stalkers” caused the incident.  Although the Boston Herald has two pictures where you can see Coakley look at McCormack on the ground and Meehan standing right there.

You can read McCormack’s article “We Report, We Get Pushed”

Massachusetts Attorney General Martha Coakley (D) is running in the special election against State Senator Scott Brown (R) for the Senate seat that Ted Kennedy held.   The polls show this will be a very close race.  Let’s hope not,  I hope that Brown comes out with a huge lead.
