What You Can Do

Do you think you are just one person and what you do will not make a difference?  I believe differently,  that each of us can make a difference.   Take a minute and think what you are good at, what are your God-given gifts and how you can make a difference.

Check my list and see which ones you can do.   Leave a comment on what you plan to do.

2 Chronicles 7:14
if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

  • For wisdom

Become a Precinct Committeeman (PC)

You may have been like me and decided you weren’t a Republican any longer, the party left you.  Right?   I think we are all tired of where our country has been and where it is going.   Then I thought about it and decided that to be an Independent wasn’t going to help matters.  So I decided to get more active within the party and change it from within.  When I first decided this, I thought, but I am only one person, what can I do.   That is where you can help.  We can do this!!

If you want to get involved and take back the Republican Party, this is what you need to do.  We need CONSERVATIVES as PCs.  The PC is who actually elects the Republican leadership and shapes the party platform.    You do not hear about this, so politics remain the same.

There is 1 PC for every precinct (about every 5-10 blocks) and another for every 125 registered Republicans in your precinct.  Most of this slots are NOT filled across the nation.

Easy steps to become a PC:

  • Check your voter id for your district and precinct info
  • Google Republican Party Chairman and your county name
  • Find your Republican Party legislative district and precinct organization
  • Contact the chairman to let them know you want to become a PC

Check out the Maricopa County Republican Web Site.  It has a good explanation of how and why to become a PC.

Click over to this blog “The Precinct Project”  which gives more information about how to become a Precinct Committeeman (PC).

Now is the time for action, so we can gear up for the 2010 elections.

Contact your elected officials

This is easier than you think, you have many choices:  email, website, letter, fax, or phone call.   Click on the link and you can find your elected officials.

  • Write Your Representative
    • Find your Congressional District, 1 Rep per District
    • Each state has multiple districts, based upon population
    • 2 year term
  • Write Your Senator
    • 2 Senators per state, they represent the whole state
    • 6 year term, 1/3 are elected every 2 years (called a class)
    • Class III is up for election next year, taking office in 2011.
    • Barbara Boxer, Arlen Specter, Harry Reid are all up for re-election
  • Find your State elected officials

I am still working on this list, keep checking back.

here’s a scripture to go with the pray section:

Want to really “do something”? Become a Republican Party precinct committeeman (“PC”).

Go here to learn more: http://www.theprecinctproject.wordpress.com

PCs get to vote for the leadership of the Party and help determine, my majority vote, which candidates get the endorsement of the Party in the Republican primary races. Only takes a few hours of time a month. With half the PC slots in the Party nationwide vacant, and with a fifty-fifty split right now between conservatives and moderate RINOs in the PC ranks, the Party is there for the taking by conservatives/libertarians if we’d all just get off our duffs and get to a meeting of the local GOP and volunteer to become a PC. Want to save your country? Then invigorate the “main enemy” of the Debtocrat/Socialist Party with your presence.

Becoming a PC should be every conservative’s first priority. Blogging and carrying a sign at a Tea Party or attending a town hall is great, but unless we have better leadership and candidates in the main adversary party, the Debtocrats will get returned to power. It’s all about the Constitution and all about winning the elections. The best way to restore the Constitution and to have better candidates who respect the Constitution is to join the Republican Party at the grass roots and make it happen. It’s a numbers game. The more conservatives we have in the Party in the precinct committeemen ranks, the more likely it will be that we’ll get better elected leadership within the Party and in the general elections. Michael Steele was elected not by registered Republicans but by the precinct committeemen in all fifty states.

Also, you can go to http://www.redstate.com to learn more, too. Just type in the words precinct and committeeman into the search pane and hit the search button and links to a lot of good info will be presented too you.

    Thank you.

I am only one. But I am a conservative Republican precinct committeeman and desperately trying to get other Constitution-loving conservatives and libertarians to do the same.

In addition to becoming a precinct committee person, everyone should contact their US Senators & Representatives and tell them:
    1) VOTE ‘NO’ on any and all versions of healthcare reform!!! Attaching healthcare to other bills is trickery! Republicans need to participate in the discussion. They are being excluded & so are the majority of Americans!
    2) VOTE to de-fund ACORN completely, permanently and to do it now!!! Last Congressional vote to de-fund ACORN was only good thru Oct. 2009!
    3) VOTE ‘NO’ to internet neutrality legislation! This restricts freedom of speech and takes gov’t intervention to a whole new level!
    Wake up, America!!
