Barrack’s Blitz This Sunday

The New York Times reports today that President Obama plans to appear on 5, yes 5, news shows this Sunday.   All I can say is, thanks for the warning!

Have we not seen enough of him already?  Enough already.  Will there be anything new to say?  Or will it be the usual?   When he speaks about health care, this is what I hear him say:

(Applause.)(Applause.)(Applause.)(Applause.)(Applause.)

Now, let me be clear, as I have always said, there are some who would rather do nothing, but if you like your plan you can keep it.  Not this time, not now.  Again let me be clear, the 47 million uninsured, 57 million uninsured, 30 million uninsured seek a new way forward to an unsustainable burden on taxpayers. We are here to build a future of slow health care.  Yes we can.

So let me set the record straight here.  I lie, plain and simple.

To my progressive friends, I would remind you that for decades, the driving idea behind reform has been to end insurance companies.   The public option — the public option is only a means to that end — and we should remain open to other ideas that accomplish our ultimate goal.  And to my Republican friends, I say let’s have a government takeover of health care

So don’t pay attention to those scary stories about how your benefits will be cut.

Thank you, God bless you, and may God bless the United States of America.

(Applause.)(Applause.)(Applause.)(Applause.)(Applause.)

You can look forward to seeing him this Sunday on:

  • This Week with George Stephanopoulos (ABC)
  • Meet The Press (NBC)
  • Face The Nation (CBS)
  • CNN
  • Univision

Curiously missing is FOX News
