Security please, with a side of liberty

I have been working with quotes the last day or so, so here are two that really need to be highlighted next to each other:

“Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety”
-Benjamin Franklin, Historical Review of Pennsylvania, 1759

If we can set up a system that can gives you some security, that’s worth a lot”
-President Barrack H. Obama, Portsmouth, New Hampshire Town Hall, August 11, 2009

Hmmm,  I would have to agree with President Obama, that is worth a lot, very precious in fact, sounds suspiciously like your liberty.   If you take to heart Benjamin Franklin’s quote, that is exactly the price that the President is asking you to pay for his health care “insurance” reform, nevermind the debt and taxes.

Update: here is link to video of  Portsmouth Town Hall posted on youtube by the White House here, all one hour and 7 minutes.
